Identify city and county review responsibilities
Cartersville's Planning & Development department coordinates city land development, permits, and inspections. A Bartow County site outside the city needs its own jurisdiction review. Confirm parcel boundaries, zoning conditions, and the applicable development documents before advancing the layout.
Define off-site and on-site work separately
For an industrial building or campus, list the entrance, public-road interfaces, drainage discharge, utility extensions, and internal circulation as distinct scope items. This makes it easier to discuss access to the I-75 corridor without assuming the final connection is already approved or funded.
Sequence large sites around usable work areas
On a multi-building or power-intensive site, phase grading and infrastructure around the pads and equipment areas actually needed first. Establish permanent drainage, construction routes, and material storage before later phases compete for the same working space.
